Welcome

"Real Cumbria," underneath the glossy picture postcard image of this uniquely beautiful corner of the world.. is a harsh, rugged, wild landscape that is my source of inspiration..

GREAT MELL FELL

A lone fairly barren and featureless fell standing on its own at the head of Threlkeld Common. The fell has no protection from the westerly winds blowing up the valley, these juniper trees show the progressive effect the weather has had, and on my last visit the main tree in the picture had fallen to the elements.
